Whether you are stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning after years of practice, our philosophy is simple: begin where you are.
Every class is an invitation inward. Through live sessions, outdoor gatherings, and the flexibility of our on-demand library, you'll find space to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with the wisdom that already lives within you.
Rooted in accessible, foundational movement, our practices are designed for all levels and created to support sustainable strength, resilience, and growth—from the inside out.
Together, we use movement, breath, and awareness to quiet external noise, reconnect with what matters most, and remember who we are beneath the demands of daily life.

MEET melissa
founder of mpwrd yoga
Originally from the East Coast, I discovered yoga in New York City while seeking relief from a stressful job, a busy mind, and a noisy, fast-paced life. What began as a physical practice became something much deeper—a return to breath, awareness, and presence.
Thirty years later, yoga remains an integral part of my life. It has helped me grow stronger, more balanced, and more resilient, both on and off the mat, while continually reminding me to be present, grateful, and willing to let go of what no longer serves me.
As a lifelong student of yoga, I bring that experience into every class through creative sequencing, intentional breathwork, and grounding practices. I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can deepen your practice, release expectations, and come home to yourself.
Through yoga, I found my light again.
My mission is simple: to help you return to what has always been within.
I hope you carry your light beyond the mat—and share it with others.
